SPUR Services for Irva Mae Childers, 66, of Spur will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakeside Baptist Church with Ned Hicks officiating.Burial will be at Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
She died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, in the Crosbyton Hospital.
She was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Satain. She lived in Spur the last 38 years, coming from Marlin. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She worked for several years at the South Dickens County Senior Citizens. She worked as a teacher´s aide at McAdoo schools, and also worked as a cook at the nursing home in Spur.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ida Lee.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Lee; six sons, Jessie and Joe Lee Jr., both of Childress, Harlee of Roaring Springs, L.C. of Spur, Lewis Lee of Lubbock, and Bobby Joe; and four daughters, Annie Walker and Brinda Barnes, both of Spur, and Linda Perry and Lula Hardge, both of Lubbock.

Services for Joe Lee Childers, 77, of Spur, were held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at Lakeside Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Burial was under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.Mr. Childers passed away in his home on Friday, July 16, 2004.
Joe Lee Childers was born May 13, 1927 in Falls Co., TX to E.C. and Annie Lee Sanders Childers. He married Ivra Mae Toliver who preceded him in death on Nov. 13, 2000.
Mr. Childers and his wife moved to the Dickens Co. area from Marlin, TX, 41 years ago.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Ida Lee Childers, in 1987.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Lee Childers, of Marlin, 9 sons, Joe Lee Childers, Jr., of Clovis, Louis Lee and Jessie Lee Childers of Crosbyton, Harl Lee Childers of Matador, Joe Lee, Jr. (Chu-cha) and L.C. Childers of Lubbock, Michael and John Childers, of Ft. Worth, 5 daughters; Betty Harris of Clovis, Annie Faye Walker and Brinda Barnes, of Spur, Lula Faye Hardge and Linda Perry, of Lubbock, 4 brothers, E.C. Childers, Jr., of Chilton, L.D. and E.J. Childers of Marlin, and John Henry Childers of Austin, 6 sisters; Annie B. Johnson of Midland; Annie B. Johnson of Midland, Ruthie Mae Childers and Minnie Lee Childers, of Waco, Ida Mae Harold and Linda Kay Childers, of Marlin, Caroline Jean Childers of Austin, 28 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a special friend, Billie Jean Shaw.
