SPUR (Special) Services for Ida Lee Childers, 22, of Spur will be at 2 p.m. today in Lakeside Baptist Church with the Rev. Euguene Gentry of Crosbyton officiating.Burial will be in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Childers was stabbed once in the chest at 11:30 p.m. Friday outside Club 44 in Spur, police said. She died shortly after midnight Saturday upon arrival at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. An autopsy was ordered by Justice of the Peace Woody McArthur, who ruled the death a homicide.
She was born in Spur and had lived in Dickens County all her life.
Survivors include two daughters, Leneka and Sabrilla, both of Spur; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lee Childers of McAdoo; her grandmother, Annie Lee Childers of Marlin; six brothers, Harley of Spur, Jessie, Joe Jr., L.C., Louis and Bobby, all of McAdoo; four sisters, Annie Fay Walker and Linda Perry, both of Spur, Loula Fay Carr of Crosbyton and Brenda Childers of McAdoo.
