Funeral Services Sunday for W.F. Cathey, Pioneer

Died Tuesday in Cisco Sanitorium; Burial at Spur.

W.F. Cathey, a pioneer resident of Dickens co. for 33 years died in Brown's Sanitorium in Cisco, TX at 5:30 p.m. Jan. , 1946 at the age of 77.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Spur with interment in Spur Cemetery.

Active pallbearers: W.T. Andrews, Harvey Holly, Neal Chastain, Joe Long, Lawis Lee, and Ralph Lewis of Lubbock.

Mr. Cathey lived at his home between here and Dickens up until a few weeks ago when, because of failing health, he and Mrs. Cathey sold their two farms and moved to the Sanitorium at Cisco where he passed away.

W.F. Cathey was married to Miss Ann Bailey, Oct. 16, 1892 and is survived by her and three children: Lee f Arizona; Mir V.M. Mcquire, Houston, and Miss Ann Cathey, Tyler.

He is a member of long standing of the Baptist church of Spur.
