Obituary

Services were read for Allen Moses Butler at the First Baptist Church Friday, June 19. Rev Victor Crabtree officiated and Rev. Cal C. Wright assisted.

Butler was born March 22, 1881, in Carrol County of Georgia. He came to Dickens County in 1925 after his marriage to Ida May Webb in 1914. They were married at Corsicana. He died on June 18, 1953.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Lillian Brock of Georgia and Mrs. May Patterson of Spur; two sons, Olan and Dee of Spur and 7 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John T. Kimmel, Frank Watson, Melton Butler, Robert Regan, Babe Berry and Buck Waggner.

Interment was in the Spur Cemetery with Chandler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mae Butler, 83, were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Norris Taylor officiating.

Mrs. Butler died January 24, in Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Dickens Co. since 1925, and for the past three years had resided in the Crosbyton Rest Home. Her husband preceded her in death in 1953.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mae Patterson, Spur; one son, Olan Butler Abilene and a brother, Gid H. Webb, Anadarko, OK: also 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dewey Dement, Herman Bostic, Frank Hale, Roddy Bell, Gib Hudson and Billy Ray Barrett.

Interment was in Spur Cemetery.
