Billy Gene Buske, 78, of Spur died Friday April 6, 2007 in Lubbock. Services were 11:00 AM, Monday, April 9, 2007 at Campbell Funeral Home in Spur, with Rev. Tommy Henderson officiating. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery.
Billy was born April 6, 1929 in Avoca, TX to William and Nora McAda Buske. He was a 1947 graduate of Avoca High School. He served in the US army and was a Korean War veteran. Billy moved to Spur in 1955. He retired from Amoco Production Company in 1984. He was a member of the VFW and the Methodist Church.
He is survived by one sister, Vada Shackleford of Spur. Two brothers, Jack Buske and wife Kathryn of Stamford and Buddy Buske and wife Ruth of Kress. A sister-in-law Selma Lee Buske of Childress, and several nieces and nephews.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Juanita Donohoe; Ava Corder, Clara Goodwin and one brother, Travis Buske.
