Andy Brown Died Friday at Home of His Son
Andy Brown, 100, father of Granville Brown died at the home of his son one mile north of Spur Friday night about 9 o´clock.Andy Brown was born in Kentucky January 16, 1832, came to Texas in 1871 and was married to Miss Caroline Robertson 1851. To this union 12 children were born, 11 of which lived to be grown and 7 are now living, 3 girls and 4 boys. Only three were able to be with their father at the time of his death. They were G. Brown of Spur, Henry Brown of Crosbyton and Mrs. F.P. Henry of Floydada.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.B. Vaughn at Spur Cemetery, Saturday at 4 :00 p.m.
The Texas Spur joins the host of friends of the family in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
