Mrs. Robert Boyer Dies Monday In Lubbock
Mrs. Robert Boyer, 51 years of age, passed away in a Lubbock hospital Monday morning, October 2, 10:00 o´clock, expiration following several months of illness.Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o´clock in the First Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev. James E. Harrel, officiating. Interment was made in the Spur Cemetery under direction of Campbell funeral directors.
Mrs. Boyer was born Elizabeth Morgan on May 12, 1888, in Anson, Jones County, TX. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Morgan, she came with her parents to this county about 25 years ago. After marriage to Robert Boyer, they have lived in this area all of the time except a few months spent in Jones county last year.
Survivors are the husband, her mother, and two brothers, A.B. and Wylie Morgan, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were W.P. Foster, Clyde Walthall, Walter Carlisle, John King, Bill Putman and W.F. Gilbert.
Flower girls were Wilma Morgan, Ruby Nell Morgan, Kathryne Handley and Betty Jean Morgan.
Some of the out-of-town relatives and friends here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Morgan and daughter, Mrs. Sieth, Amarillo; M.J. Sprayberry, an uncle, and Mrs. Martha Sprayberry and Miss Willie Sprayberry, Anson; Mr. and Mrs. Arlon McElwain and family, Anson; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Morgan and children, Austin; Mrs. Bynum Britton, Rule; Miss Viola Morgan, Crosbyton; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Mayfield, Girard; Mrs. Nelson Handley, and Mrs. Milo Thompson of Benjamin.
