Mrs. Adelia Boyer, a resident of Dickens County for five years, died at her home on Sunday, July 13, 1948, after an illness of six months. Mrs. Boyer came to Dickens County in 1942.

Mrs. Boyer was born February 5, 1886, in Montague County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Newberry. She came to Dickens County in 1942, and was married to Robert Boyer in May of 1946.

Funeral services were read at 5 p.m., July 19 in the Methodist Church, with Rev. Faries McDaniel and Rev. C.N. Gilbert officiating.

Survivors are her husband, Robert Boyer; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Delozier, California and Mrs. Mary Jolley, Plainview; one brother, H.M. Newberry, California. A former husband, T.B. Greenwood, preceded her in death many years ago.

Pallbearers were: Jerry Ensey, W.F. Gilbert, Elmer Hagins, Clyde Walthall, Estel Hairgrove, and Tang Smith.

Campbell's Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements, with interment the Spur Cemetery.
