Services for Velma Mae Butler Bostick, 82, of Spur, were at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 1993, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Genoa Goad, pastor officiating.Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bostick died October 29, in Methodist Hopital., Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Gustine on July 17, 1911 and had lived in Dickens County most of her life. She married Earl Butler on February 19, 1930 in Dickens county. He died on May 21, 1950. She then married Herman Bostick in Lea County, NM on October 21, 1950. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Herman Bostick; two sons, Charles Dale Butler, Cloudcroft and Jerry Don Butler, Spur; one sister, Evie Bachman, Spur; one grandchild, Pam Barnett, New Deal and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Gene Thomason, J.D. McCormick, Doc Edwards, Winston Fitzgerald, Joe Garcia and Charles Morris.

Services for Frank Herman (Frosty) Bostick, 78 of Spur, were held at 10 a.m. March 26, 1994 in the First Baptist Church, Spur, with Rev. Billy Smith, Post and Rev. Genoa Goad, church pastor, officiating.Mr. Bostick died about 1:30 p.m. March 23 in St. Mary Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. He was born August 16, 1915 in Palo Pinto County. He had lived most of his life in Dickens County. He was a farmer and served as a Dickens County Commissioner for 10 years; he also served on the Spur School board for six years and was a member of the VFW Post 7212. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He married Velma Mae Butler October 21, 1950 in Lea County, NM. She died October 29, 1993. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include two step-sons, Charles Dale Butler of Cloudcroft, NM and Jerry Don Butler, Spur; one brother, R.G. (Mutt) Bostick, Spur; two sisters, Hazel Camp, Clovis, NM and Wanda Caplinger, Idalou; one grandchild.
Pallbearers included Winston Fitzgerald, J.D. McCormick, Bill Dove, John Foreman, Doc Edwards and Charles Morris. Honorary pallbearers were Gene Thomason, Joe Garcia, Ben Spradling, Travis Hoover, Eric Swenson and Fred Neaves.
