Funeral Rites For Daniel L. Boothe Here Last Week

Last rites were administered for Daniel Lafayette Boothe at 3 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist church, Spur, with Rev. Ennis Hill and Herman Coe officiating.

Boothe died at his home in Dickens county on Thursday, April 5. He was born in Bell co. on Sept. 13, 1875, and had lived in Dickens county since 1913. He was married to Ida Mae Little in Georgetown, March 26, 1893 and several years later became a member of the Baptist church.

He is survived by his wife, four sons: Elbert, and Orville, Abilene; Earl, Redmond, OR; and Wilbur USA stationed in the Phillipines; and one daughter, Addie Faye Payne, Pampa.

Pallbearers were: Homer Boothe, Preston Boothe, Garvie Boothe, Kenton Boothe, Schuyler Boothe, and Carl Absher.

Flower bearers were Lucy Nell, Earnestine, Grace, Jean Boothe and StellaAbsher and Betty Jo Kearney.

Chandler Funeral home conducted the service.
