Obituary

Services were held April 3, 1992 for Douglas Clyde Boone, 78, at 1 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church, Spur. Rev. Perry Sheffield, Plains, officiated.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Boone died about 1:30 p.m. April 1 in St. Mary of the Plains Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. He was born October 17, 1913 in Gonzales County and had made his home in Spur since 1963, moving here from Ropesville.

He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He married Zelma Mosteller on October 13, 1934 in Lovington, NM.

He is survived by his wife, Zelma Boone, Spur; a son, Douglas Boone, Shallowater; a daughter, Sandra Ford, Denver city; one brother, Elroy Boone, Beebe, AZ; and two sisters, Vida wylie, Lubbock and Lou Bradshaw, Hobbs, NM; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
