Final Rites Held For Rosa E. Bloodworth

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Ella Bloodworth, 73, were held yesterday afternoon, Wed., Sept. 12, 1951 at the First Methdist Church.

Mrs. Bloodworth was born Oct. 16, 1878 in Hunt Co., TX. She came to Dickens county in 1913. She was preceded in death by her first husband, A.C. Hindman who died in 1940. In 1944 she married D.E. Bloodworth who survives her.

She was converted and joined the Methodist church early in life.

Funeral services were led by Rev. Cal C. Wright. Pallbearers were Tom Vivian, Gene Johnston, Ollie Ogle, Joe Long, Lawis Lee and Jess Fletcher.

Honorary pallbearers: Cal Martin, J.D. Ratliff, Hade Condron, Coy McMahan, C.W. Barclay, John Payne and Dee Hairgrove.

Survivors are her husband of Spur; 12 stepchildren; one brother; Ed Sherron of Salt Lake City; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ethel Quattlebaum of Terrel and Mrs. Ester Morrison of Greenville.

Interment was in Spur cemetery with Chandler Funeral Home in charge.
