Obituary

Funeral services for Sam Houston Blair 74, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, July 21, in the Hill St. Church of Christ.

Arnold Banks, Lubbock minister will officiate.

A retired farmer, Mr. Blair died Tuesday in Hogan-Malong Hospital, Big Spring. He had been a resident of Dickens County since 1912. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ena Blair, Spur; five brothers: Ewing, Cal Allen, TX; John and Watson, both of Robstown; Willie, Albuquerque, NM; and Ray Blair of Cal Allen, TX; two sisters, Mrs. G.R. Grimes, Robstown, and Mrs. Don Cowan, Cal Allen.

Pallbearers include A.V. Hoover, Robert Williams, Everett Roberson; Mac Williams, Carl Thomason and Jay Austin.

Interment in Spur cemetery.

Funeral services for Ena Blair, 87, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Hill Street Church of Christ, Van Cash, Lubbock, officiated.

Mrs. Blair died December 15 in the Crosbyton hospital. The family requests donations be made to the Heart Fund or the Cancer Fund. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her husband died in 1966. She had been a resident of Dickens County since 1912.

Survivors include two sisters, Glennie Ewell, Tucson; Arizona and Lelia Donly, Denver, CO; four nephews and three nieces.

Pallbearers included Jay Austin, Buddy Hoover, Everett Martin, Hoss Martin, Gifford Phillips and Robert Williams.

Burial was in Spur cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
