Funeral services for Andrew Blair, 71, a retired Spur farmer, were held December 26, at 3 p.m. in the First United Methoidst Church. Rev. Archie Echols, church pastor officiated.
Mr. Blair died at his home east of Spur on December 23. He came to Dickens County in 1910 from Floyd County. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Masonic services were conducted at graveside.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Louise Blair, Spur; two daughters, Carole Blair, Levelland, and Helen Douglas, Aurora, CO; two sons, Clyde Blair, Garland and Curtis Blair, Brea, CA; two brothers, Marvin, Stockton, CA and W.D., Spur; four sisters, Mrs. LaFaye Marcy, Spur; Mrs. Georgia Mae McAteer, Ft. Stockton; Mrs. Lucy Lee , Stockton, CA; and Mrs. Winnie Gay, Dallas; six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dwight Dillashaw, Ruben Waddell, A.B. Carlisle, Doyle King, Wilburn Ball, Arner Watson and James Wright.
Burial was in Spur Cemetery.

Louise Blair passed away October 22, 2009 in Crosbyton Nursing Home and Rehab in Crosbyton, Texas. She was born November 16, 1911 in Freestone County, Texas to Ike and Lucy Mae Walker.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents Ike and Lucy Walker and husband Andrew Blair.
She is survived by two sons Clyde Blair of Las Vegas, Nevada and Curtis Blair of Brea, California. She is also survived by two daughters Helen Douglas of Long Mont, Colorado and Carole Long of Levelland, Texas and ten grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Spur Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 am Monday October 26, 2009 with Larry Burton officiating.
