Obituary

Funeral services for Thomas Oscar Bingham, 73, were held in the First Baptist Church here Sunday, Nov. 28. He died November 26.

Born in Jones County, Texas on Dec. 17, 1880. Bingham came to Dickens county in 1917. He married Fannie Spraberry in 1902 in Jones county. He was converted to the Christian religion 27 years ago and joined the Assembly of God Church.

Services were conducted by Rev. H.P. Park, assisted by Rev. Ernest Lee.

Interment was in Spur Cemetery with Chandler´s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Bingham, 87, were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Spur, Rev. Norris Taylor officiated assisted by Rev. David Dyer and Rev. Perry Sheffield.

Mrs. Bingham died in the Crosbyton Hospital Monday April 15, following a lengthy illness. Born in Jones county in 1886, she married T.O. Bingham in 1902. Mr. Bingham died in 1954.

A resident of Dickens county since 1922, Mrs. Bingham was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Rosie Friel, Sacramento, CA; Mrs. Bea Steele, Spur; Mrs. Joan Thomason, Spur; six sons: Abb, Rogers, Billy D., all of Spur; Thomas, Modesto, CA; V.F., Slaton and Doyle, Lubbock.

One brother, V.C. Spraberry, Roaring Springs, survives, along with 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Lloyd Hindman, Alvin Baker, Bunk Garner, Alvis Bilberry, Wilburn Ball, and Flavious Alexander.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
