Funeral services Alan Ray Bingham, 59, of Matador will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Motley County Schools Gymnasium. Interment will follow in the Spur Cemetery in Spur under the direction of Seigler Funeral Home of Matador. Mr. Bingham passed away in Crosbyton, April 16, 2009.

Mr. Bingham was born August 7, 1949 in Spur to Billy Dan Bingham and Marie Powell Bingham. He was a graduate of Texas Tech University with a bachelor's degree. Alan worked as a loan officer for the local PCA now Capital Farm Credit for the past 32 years. He was a member of the Matador Lions Club, Matador Volunteer Fire Dept., the Men's Golf Association, Director of the Roaring Springs Ranch Club, and was involved in many church activities at the First United Methodist Church in Matador where he was a member. He married Kay Elkins on August 23, 1986 at Buffalo Springs Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Bingham of Matador; sons, Cody Dodson of Lubbock, Chance Bingham of Levelland, Isiah Archer of Canyon; daughters, Mindy Campbell of New Home, Beth Fritsch of Lubbock, Alana Carr of Littlefield; sister, Judy Morris of Henrietta; and nine grandchildren with one on the way.
