Funeral services were held Monday at the First Baptist church for Ester Berdina Bilbrey, a former resident of Dickens county.Mrs. Bilbrey died in Portales, NM on May 12. She was 84. She married Lee W. Bilbrey in 1894. At the time of her death they had been married 67 years. She was a member of the West Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include Mr. Bilbrey, three sons, J.T.Plainview; Merrell and Clarene both of San Diego, CA. and three daughters; Mrs. Oleta Self, Clovis, N.M.; Mamie Thomas, Portales, Thelma Dermitt, Calif. One sister Georgie Estes, Wichita Falls; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren.
Interment was in the Spur cemetery.

L.W. Bilbrey, longtime Clovis area resident, died about 8:30 a.m. June 18 in a Clovis hospital.Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the West Side Baptist church, Portales, NM, with Rev. J.L. Willis, Clovis officiating, assisted by Rev. Jim Kennedy, pastor of the Portales church. Services were also held in the First Baptist church Spur at 11 a.m. Monday with Alvis Bilberry, a nephew, officiating.
Survivors include two sons, J.T. Bilbrey, Plainview and C.V. Bilbrey, Turlock, CA.; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Durman, San Diego, Mrs. Mamie Thomas, Portales, and Mrs. Oleta Self, Clovis; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Interment was in the Spur cemetery.
