Funeral services for Billy Bigham, 76, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in the First United Methodist church with church pastor, Rev. George Price, Jr., officiating.

Bigham died August 19 about 5;15 p.m. in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. Born in Bell County on May 23, 1909, he married the former Christine Porter in Belton on December 25, 1936. He had lived in Dickens County for the past 35 years, coming here from Ennis. He was a salesman and variety store manager. He was a member of the Methodist church and was formerly a member of the Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of Spur; one son, James R. (Bubba) Bigham, Lubbock; a daughter, Sue Hobdy, Woodland and a brothers, James Bigham, Waxahachie; three grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Benny Ball, Sparky Eckles, Dwain Hudson, Jimmy Thomas, Bobby Baker, Don Morrison and Jessie Morrison. Honorary pallbearers were D.J. Dyess, bud Hoover, Mac McCasland, Wilburn Ball, Lester Ball and Dr. Bob Alexander.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Services for Eva Christine Bigham, 76, of Spur, were at 2 p.m. June 12, 1990 in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Dorn officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bigham died about 12:23 p.m. in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a sudden illness on June 10, 1990. She was born October 18, 1913 in Bell County, Texas. She married Bill Bigham on December 25, 1936 in Belton. He died on August 19, 1985.

She was a bookkeeper at Dickens Electric CoOp for a number of years, but was retired. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She had been a resident of Dickens County for 40 years.

Survivors include one son, James R. (Bubba) Bigham, Dallas; a daughter, Sue Hobdy, The Woodlands; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Pallbearers included Leo Day, Jr., Benny Ball, Bailey Reece, Wilburn Ball, Lester Ball and Pat McAllister.
