Marshall Lee Berry, 60, of Lubbock departed this life Sunday, January 18, 2004, in Lubbock.

He was born September 11, 1943 in Ralls, Texas to the late Cecil Walker and Irene Henderson Berry. He graduated from Crosbyton High School in 1962. He married Dortha Smith on January 17, 1970 in Spur, Texas. He moved to Lubbock from Crosbyton in 1971. He was self-employed in the oil-field industry. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Those left to mourn his passing include his wife, Dortha Berry, of Lubbock, a daughter Paula Taylor and husband B.J., of San Antonio, three brothers, Donald Berry of McAdoo, Jim Berry of Lubbock, Glenn Berry of Charleston, S.C., a sister, Betty Daniel of Dublin, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Shallowater, Texas, with Mitch Wilson and Bill Smith officiating. Graveside services were held at Spur Cemetery in Spur, Texas, under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Lubbock.
