Services for Rita Dean Bateman, 49, of Fort Worth, were at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 1993, in the First Baptist Church, Spur, with Rev. Genoa Goad, pastor, officiating.Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bateman died at 11:05 a.m. April 13, 193 in John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Spur and had lived in Fort Worth since 1981 moving there from Odessa. She married Ray Bateman in Levelland on June 19, 1970.
She was a member of the Oakwood Baptist Church in Weatherford and homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Dana Young and Deana Dillishaw both of Spur; one sister, Teresa Christopher, Odessa; her parents J.B. and Jean Dean, Spur and her grandparents, Grace and Levi Meadors, also of Spur; three grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Curt Parsons, Corey Bateman, Gene Taylor, Travis Bateman, Benny Ball and Flip Fitzgerald.
