Maude Barkley Photo Services for Willie Maude Barkely, 85, of Spur were Wednesday, September 8, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highway 70 Church of Christ with Clay Mason officiating. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

Barkley died September 6, 1999 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born April 18, 1914 in Spur. She was married to Cotton Barkley October 17, 1951 in Lovington, NM. She called Spur her home.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was Past Worthy Matron, and Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include: husband, Cotton Barkley of Spur; one son, S.J. Shields of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, W.C. Scott of Tacoma, Washington, and Murry Scott Clay of Luling, Texas; one sister, Donalita Lane of Morrilton, AR.

SPUR (Special) Graveside services with Masonic rites for B.E. "Cotton" Barkley, 70, of Spur will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Spur Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Geeslin officiating.

Burial is under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

He died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, in Lubbock.

He was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Houston. He married Willie Maude Scott on Oct. 17, 1951, in Lovington, N.M. She died Sept. 6, 1999. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in the oil industry. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 1023, where he was past master. He was district deputy of the 95th Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of Texas, where he was a 32nd degree Mason. He was past worth patron and present worthy patron of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 164.

Survivors include a son, S.J. Shields of Las Vegas.
