Obituary

Last Rites Held for Mrs. Barclay

Funeral service were held for Mrs. C.W. Barclay, Dec. 7, 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Rev. W.H. Hughes of Whiteface and Rev. C. Melvin Ratheal officiating the service.

Mrs. Barclay was born in Van Zandt County Feb. 24, 1899 and moved to Dickens County in 1908. She married Claud W. Barclay Dec. 16, 1923 and to this union two sons were born.

Pallbearers were Charles Groce, Warren Embre and Arthur Terry, all of Petersburg; Keith Brashear, M.K. Simpson and Festus Elrod all of Lubbock.

Mrs. Barclay is survived by her husband and 2 sons: Winston of Lubbock and Joe Max a Sophomore at Texas Tech. A sister, Mrs. Gray Draper of Spur and a brother Loy West of Someton, Arizona.
