J.P. Autrey died Monday night, May 23, at his home in the north part of Kent County, his remains being interred Tuesday in the Spur cemetery.
Mr. Autrey suffered three days and nights of acute indigestion before death relieved his suffering. He was seventy two years of age at the time of his death, leaving three sons and two daughters: J.T. Autrey of McAdoo, A.F. Autrey of Red Top, and L.C. Autrey of Spur, Mrs. J.L. Tompkins of Fort Worth and Mrs. A.J. Rodgers of Crystal Falls; all of whom were at his bedside except Mrs. Rodgers who also had sickness in the home.
