from the records of Lillian Grace NayFuneral services for Kate Arnold, 71, were held at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in the Spur Church of Christ, Gary Williams, minister, officiating.
Mrs. Arnold died at M.D. Nursing Home, Jan. 23. She had been a resident of Spur since 1970. She had previously resided at Truth or Consequences, NM for 24 years.
She is survived by her husband, J.E. Arnold, Spur; three sons, Joe Arnold, Kermit; Lilburn Arnold, Danville, Ark.; Odell Arnold, Stratford; two daughters, Viola Dunigan, Houston and Hazel Kepler, Denver, Colorado.
Ten brothers also survive. They include Ben Taylor, Harry Taylor, Johnah Taylor and Ford Taylor, all of Spur; L.L. Taylor, Whiteface; Jack Taylor, Post; Amos Taylor, Morton; George Taylor, Girard; Donnie Taylor, Seagraves and Sam Taylor, Redding, Iowa.
Also listed were 24 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers included nephews, Floyd Arnold, Pat Taylor, Wade Taylor, Jerry Taylor, Jimmy Arnold, Gene Taylor, Donnie Arnold and Elex Taylor.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery.

Mother, Son Buried In Services Monday
Double funeral services for Mrs. Ida Frances Arnold, 96 and her son, James Earnest Arnold, 79, were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Spur. Rev. Norris Taylor officiated, assisted by Vernon Williams, minister of the Spur Church of Christ.
Mrs. Arnold died Oct. 2 in the Crosbyton Hospital. Mr. Arnold died in Truth or Consequences, NM. Mrs. Arnold had resided in Dickens County since 1908. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Arnold, her son, lived in Kent and Dickens Counties but had made his home in New Mexico for the past 30 years. He was also a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by three sons: Jessie and Hester, Spur; Quincy of Clovis, NM; two daughters, Mrs. Perlie Brown, Dumas and Mrs. Frances Welch, Havelock, NC; 33 grandchildren and 93 great grandchildren and 47 great greats.
Mr. Arnold is also survived by his wife, Pauline Arnold, Truth or Consequences, NM; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Kepler, Amarillo; Mrs. Viola Dunigan, Magnolia; three sons, Joe Arnold, Kermit; Lilburn Arnold, Belleville, AK; and Odell Arnold, Stratford; one step-daughter, Ruth Greer, Silver city, NM; 24 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; also brothers and sisters listed above.
Serving as pallbearers were Floyd Arnold, Joe Dell Scott, Jimmy Arnold, Larry Arnold, Neal Ray Arnold, W.D. Sellers, Raymond Dunigan and Glen Ray Arnold.
Both mother and son were buried in Spur Cemetery.
