Services for Hester Arnold, 84, were held Sunday, August 21, 1994 in the First Baptist Church with church pastor, Rev. Genoa Goad, officiating.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mr. Arnold died August 19 in Methodist Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Orr, Oklahoma and had lived in Dickens County most of his life. He was married in Ringland, Oklahoma. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by a son, Floyd Arnold, in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, of Spur; a brother, Quincy Arnold, Spur; two sisters, Parlie Brown of Dumas and Frances Welch of El Paso; four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Steve Arnold, Junior Arnold, Toby Styron, Richard Threser, Chip Stoneman and Cleo Scott.

Services for Emma Faye Arnold, 86, of Spur, were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2001 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Harbison officiating. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Arnold died Tuesday, February 6, 2001, at Crosbyton Hospital She was born May 12, 1914, in Chillicothe. She married Hester Arnold on Sept. 9, 1931, in Ringland, Okla. He died Aug. 19, 1994. She lived in Dickens County since 1928. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Spur.
Survivors include one brother, W.B. Glass of California; one sister, Udell Gilcrease of Spur; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
