Obituary
Services for Charles Floyd Arnold, 55, of Girard, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 13 in the Highway 70 Church of Christ, Travis Boyd, Lorenzo and R.V. Hamilton, Abilene, officiated.
Arnold died June 10 about 2:30 a.m. in the Kent County Nursing Home, Jayton, following a lengthy illness. He was born July 16, 1932 in Dickens County and resided in Kent County after living 15 years in Houston.
A farmer, he married Jeanell Evans on October 2, 1948 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Arnold, Girard; two sons, Stephen Arnold, Austin and Charles Arnold Jr., Jayton; two daughters, Carol Bartlle, Kenosa, Wisconsin and Barbara Arnold, Austin; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hester Arnold, Spur; 13 grandchildren.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
