Biography

W.T. Andrews, Senior active member of the Rotary Club, came to Spur from Stamford where he married Mildred on October 12, 1915. His mother Mrs. Ella Andrews lives in San Angelo, Texas; his mother-in-law, Mrs. E.B. Daniels, lives with them.

A member for 17 years, he has served as director of Spur Rotary Club. He earned his first money as a laborer but does not remember how he spent it. First real job was bookkeeper for Bryant Link Co. since that time he has been in the banking business. He likes to play dominoes and bridge. Bill belongs to the First Baptist Church, and the Spur Golf Club.

He received his education from Stamfod High School and then entered Toby's Business College. Upon graduation from this college, he entered the State University.

Obituary

Services for Mildred T. Andrews, 85, of Muleshoe were held at 10 a.m. November 24 at Muleshoe First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.E. Meeks, pastor officiating.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 24, at the Spur Cemetery.

Mrs. Andrews died at 11:48 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22 at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.

Born in Levita, Mrs. Andrews lived in Spur prior to moving to Muleshoe and was organist for the Spur First Baptist Church. She lived in Muleshoe 24 years and until her retirement was organist of the Muleshoe Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, W.T., and a brother, Duke Daniel of Iredell.
