Services Held For John F. Andrews
Funeral services for John Franklin Andrews, 47, were held at the Spur First Baptist Church yesterday, March 27, 1957, with Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating.
Andrews was born December 27, 1909 at Throckmorton, Texas and died in Brownfield on March 23, 1957. He lived in the Afton community from 1917 to 1936 and was brought to Spur for burial beside his father and mother.
Pallbearers were Frank Murphy, Doyle Cagle, Dennis Rasberry, Loyd Rudder, Ralph Jones and Hugh Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae Andrews, 5 children, JoNell Pierce, Lubbock, Dorine Andrews, and Betty Andrews, Brownfield, Jackie Andrews, Eunice, NM and Dannie Frank Andrews, Lubbock; two brothers, Ellis, Tahoka and Lonnie; 3 sisters, Nellie Nance, Spur, Mrs. Millie Vickrey, Afton, and Erna Mae King, Spur, and 4 grandchildren.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
