Funeral services were held for George T. (Tom) Andrews Saturday, October 17 at the Spur Church of Christ. Bro. H.E. Johnson officiated, assisted by C.V. Allen.
Andrews was born April 14, 1877 and died October 16, 1952. He came to Texas at the age of twelve and lived in Spur seven months. He was married to Mary McDonald at Comanche in 1899.
Pallbearers were Bailey Kimmel, Frank Murphy, T.A. Martin, Lloyd Rudder, Buster Arthur, Milton Addison.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Andrews of Spur; and children: Nellie Nance, Plainview; Millie Vickrey, Afton; Erna Mae King, Spur; John and Ellis of Brownfield; and Lonnie of Spur; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Interment was in Spur cemetery under the direction of Chandler´s.

Services Held For Mrs. Tom Andrews
Mrs. Elender Andrews, resident of Dickens County, died Saturday, September 25, after an extended illness.She was born March 8, 1881, and moved to Dickens County in 1917. She had lived in Texas all her life.
She was married to Tom Andrews in 1899. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 26, at the Church of Christ, with Brother Harry E. Johnson officiating.
Pallbearers were Joe Bailey Kimmel, Luther Bilberry, John T. Kimmel, Jess Powell and Jay Austin, Honorary pallbearer was O. C. Arthur.
She is survived by three sons, John Andrews of Brownfield, Ellis Andrews of Brownfield, and Lonnie Andrews of Spur, three daughters; Mrs. Nellie Nance of Plainview, Mrs. Millie Vickery, of Afton, and Mrs. Erma Mae King of Spur; nineteen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
