Littlefield Collision Fatal To Spur Woman

Mrs. Ruby May Alexander, 70, was dead on arrival at a Littlefield Hospital Monday, following a two car accident near that city.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church. Rev. V.F. Abbott, church pastor, officiated.

Mrs. Alexander´s sister, Mrs. Ora Culberth, Lubbock, lost a leg in the accident. She is in a Lubbock hospital.

The accident occurred at the intersection of FM Road 54 and U.S. 84 at Littlefield. Mr. Alexander was treated at a Littlefield hospital and released.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Alexander, Spur; two daughters, Alvarina Gannon, Spur; Aldaphyne McWilliams, Abilene; four sisters, Mrs. Nora Crafton, Jayton; Mrs. Bill Sprayberry, Waco; Mrs. Ora Culberth, Lubbock; Mrs. Isom Schoonover, Miami, AZ; three brothers, J.O. Barrett, Littlefield; Vernie Barrett, Spur; Raymond Barrett, CA; one step-daughter, Vergie Franklin, San Jose, CA, and Flavious Alexander, Spur; eight grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Don Gannon, Bob Gannon, Davin Alexander, Charles McWilliams, Ben McWilliams, Lyle Fanghor.

Interment was in Spur Cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
