Funeral services for Laura Pearl Alexander, 59, were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ralph Staggs, Memphis, officiating, assisted by Rev. Bob Wright, Spur.

Mrs. Alexander died about 4:10 a.m. March 25, 1986 in the Spur Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was born April 8, 1926 in Akron, Colorado. She married Lonnie Alexander in Oxnard, California on November 10, 1943.

She had resided in Dickens County for the past five years, coming here from California. She was a minister, Bible School teacher and a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Alexander, Spur; two sons, David Alexander, San Jose, CA and Richard Alexander, South Lake Tahoe, CA, one daughter, Kay Ingham, San Jose, CA; four brothers, Charles and Roy Loney, Jr., both of Corpus Christi; Dale Loney, Engleville, TN; Wilburt Loney, Topeka, KS; two sisters, Carol Swanson, Mountain View, CA, and Nina Edwards, Adrian, Missouri; five grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Larry Reeder, Larry Bass, Todd Davis, Maynard Brown, Floyd Willis and Mike Adcock. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
