Jack Alexander, 65, son of Dr. Bob and Lillian Owen Alexander, entered into eternal life on March 22, 2013, at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Jack was born in Crosbyton, Texas, on December 10, 1947.

Jack graduated from Spur High School in 1966 and attended Texas Western College in El Paso, Tx, where his Kappa Sigma Fraternity Brothers have remained life-long friends. Jack worked in construction in Texas, Nevada, and California and returned to Spur, Tx, after his retirement. Jack will always be remembered for his common-sense attitude, his humorous outlook on life, and his caring and concern for all living things. He is also survived by his nephew Robert Scott and his great niece Lillian Scott of Round Rock, Texas, as well as many extended family members and loving friends. Jack will be missed by so many people for he was a friend to everyone he met.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Bob and Lillian Alexander and his grandparents Dr. & Mrs. R.L. Alexander and Mr. & Mrs. John Owen.

Services will be held Wednesday March 27, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Spur, Texas, with Larry Burton officiating under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home in Spur. Interment will follow at Spur Memorial Cemetery in Spur, Texas.
