Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Williams Spears, 88, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Spur Church of Christ. C. L. Atkinson, pastor of the Dickens Baptist Church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Victor Crabtree, retired Baptist minister.

Mrs. Spears died September 25 in Fort Stockton. She married J. N. Myers in Clovis in 1908, and he died in 1950. She married Billy Spears in Dickens in 1956. He died in 1965. She was a member of the Baptist Church and had lived most of her life in Dickens County.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Spears, Camp Wood; two sisters, Mrs. Ava Johnson, Dickens and Mrs. Effie Jones, Spur; a brother, Tom Williams, Spur.

Five grandchildren survive. They include J. C. Coffman, Fort Stockton; Wayne Coffman, Rock Springs; Maxine Wynne, Fort Stockton; Nelda Ledford, Fort Stockton and Bobby Lou Coffman Reed, Sheffield; 19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers included Jimmy Coffman, James Ledford, Leonard Ledford, Joe Ledford, Clint Ledford and Clifford Wynne.

Burial was in Red Mud Cemetery.
