Funeral services for Robert Clyde Smith, 92, Spur were held Sunday, August 4, 1996 at 2 p.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Henderson, officiating. Burial was in Red Mud Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.Mr. Smith was born March 10, 1894 in Dickens County and had lived in Spur all of his life. He died at 7:08 a.m. Friday, August 2, 196 in Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
He married Annie Mae Quisenberry on November 9, 1925 in Dickens County, she died May 11, 1996. Mr. Smith was a retired farmer and mechanic and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Robert E. Smith, Odessa, one grandchild, Celia Taylor, Odessa; thee great grandchildren, Joanni Taylor, Jill Taylor and Malyssa Taylor, all of Odessa.
