Mrs. Alma Smith

SPUR (Special) — Services for Mrs. Alma Doreatha Smith, 56, who died at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday in West Texas Hospital in Lubbock following an extended illness, will be at 4 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church.

Officiating will be the Rev. Vernon Hagar, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Crosbyton and the Rev. Perry Sheffield, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Spur.

Burial will be in Red Mud Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home. She was a native of Motley County, but had lived in the Kent and Dickens County areas since 1924. She moved to Spur in November, 1973.

She married A. T. Smith December 4, 1932. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Peggy Christopher of Lubbock, Patsey Condron of Spur, Bonnie Edwards of Girard, Gracie Cockrell of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Glenda Tice of Silverton; two sons Clayton "Fats" and Bill, both of Spur; her mother Mrs. Dell Nixon of Spur; a brother, J. M. "Pat" of Lubbock, 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
