Services for Nellie Scott, 86, of Spur were Monday, August 17, 1998 at Bethel Baptist church in Spur. Rev. Tommy Henderson, pastor, and Rev. Richard Harbison, pastor of First Baptist Church, Spur officiated. Burial was in the Red Mud Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

Mrs. Scott died Friday, August 14, at Methodist Hospital, Lubbock. She was born November 10, 1911 in Peacock, Texas. She married Roy Scott June 30, 1945 in Lubbock. He preceded her in death October 4, 1992. she had lived in Dickens County since 1930. She was a member of the Blue Bonnett club and the Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Garland D. Calihan, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; one niece, Mary Hinson, Spur; one stepsister, Marine Burton, Houston; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several other nieces and nephews.
