William Bluford Reid (26 Apr 1869 - 12 Nov 1958) and Elula Elizabeth "Lizzie" (nee: Arnold) Reid (22 Mar 1874 - 7 Nov 1948). Both were born in Mississippi and died in Spur, Dickens County, TX.
Children:
John Wiley Reid (12 Mar 1897 - 30 Jul 1945) buried Red Mud Cemetery, married Ella Ann Springer Nina Reid (7 Jul 1899 - 11 May 1974) buried Red Mud Cemetery, married Ivan I. Metteer of Oregon. Rosa Lee Reid William Boyd Reid "Doc" Jr. (7 Dec 1904 - 12 Nov 1958)buried Red Mud Cemetery, married Stella B. Johnson. Cora Reid (14 Jan 1907 - Dec 1981) married Clifton James of Fannin. They are found 1930 TX Webb-Laredo. Cora died in Lubbock, buried Red Mud Cemetery.
Mrs. Elula Elizabeth Reid, age 74, died at her residence in Spur, Sunday morning, November 7. Funeral services were conducted Monday, November 8, at 2:30 p.m., from the First Methodist Church with Rev. L.L. Hill and Rev. Dock Love officiating.
Interment was in the Red Mud Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reid was born in Mathiston, Miss. , on March 22, 1874, and came to Texas at an early age. She had been a resident of Spur for the past 21 years. She was married to W.B. Reid on December 29, 1893. Mrs. Reid was a member of the Methodist Church, having been converted at an early age.
Survivors are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Nina Meteer, Mrs. Mary Hinson of Spur and Mrs. Cora James of Lubbock; one brother, Lloyd Arnold of Plainview, Texas, and 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Wallace Hinson, Otis Smith, Lloyd Johnson, Oscar McGinty,
Honorary pallbearers were Mr. Powell, Mr. Formby, Mr. Alvin, Bob Smith, L.A. Welborn and O.P. Meador.

Funeral services for William Bluford Reid, 89, a retired farmer, will be held at 3 p.m. today (Thursday) at the First Baptist Church, Rev. Dock Love officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Riley Fugitt and Robert Bankhead.
Born in Mathison, Mississippi, Reid came to Dickens County in 1927. He had resided the last 13 years in Spur. His wife preceded him in death in 1948.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jimmy James, Lubbock; Mrs. Slim Metteer, Spur, Mrs. Douglas Hinson, Spur. Thirteen grand children and 11 great grand children also survive.
Interment will be in Red Mud cemetery.
