Services for Mrs. Alta (Slack) Martin, 81, forermly of Spur, were held on Feb. 26th at 2 p.m. in the Highway 70- Church of Christ in Spur.

Burial was in Red Mud Cemetery (west of Spur) under the direction of Lescher Funeral Home of Muskogee, Okla.

Mrs. Martin died Sunday Feb. 24th at 4 a.m. in the Muskogee General Hospital. She was a native of Texas. She moved to Muskogee, Okla. seven years ago to be near her son and daughter.

She was the widow of Jessie Brooks Martin. She was a member of the Church of Christ and had been ill for the past few months.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mabelle Chenault, and a son, Johnnie Martin, both of Muskogee; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Williams, Mrs. Bessie Drennan, Mrs. Aleene Austin, and Mrs. Ivey Slack, all of Spur. Eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
