  Graveside services for Jessie James Love, 86, of Lubbock were held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2002 at Red Mud Cemetery with Rev. Richard Harbison officiating. Services were under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

He died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 in Lubbock.

He was born March 4, 1916, in Spur to Tom and Clara Love. He was a WWI U.S. Army Veteran. He married LaJuan Horton November 7, 1947 in Spur. He later married Lorene Smith in 1984 in Post. She preceded him in death March 16, 2002. He was a retired landscaper and a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Spence and Debbie Miller, both of Littleton, Colo.; two sons, Gary of Carlisle, Pa., and Jeff of Lubbock; two stepdaughters, Shirley Sprowles of Lubbock and LaJuan Jeffcoat of Harlingen; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
