Lynda Sue Hinson, 64, of Dallas died Monday, July 23, 2007 in Plano. Services will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, July 26, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Spur with Eric Swenson and Dr. Ned Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Red Mud Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Wednesday.

Lynda was born September 14, 1942 in Lubbock to Wilford Douglas and Mary Reid Hinson. She was a 1961 graduate of Spur High School and a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University. She worked for the City of Lubbock as city secretary for a couple of years after her college graduation. She then went to work for Electronic Data Systems in 1970 as a finance director, and was employed with them until her retirement in 2003. During her tenure with EDS, she was able to travel and see many parts of the world. Aside from enjoying traveling, Lynda also loved spending time with her family, opera and the watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Lynda is survived by her mother, Mary Hinson of Spur; two sisters, Donna Clark and husband Kennith of Spur and Betty Bliss and husband Charlie of Colorado; one nephew, Eddie Clark and wife Leslie of Spur; two nieces, Stephanie Cole of Colorado and Heather Edwards and husband David of Colorado; and five great-nephews, Cole and Case Clark both of Spur, Gavin Stern, Dawson Verner and Trevor Verner all of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her father, Doug; one brother, Scooter, and one nephew, Brian.
