Services for Ina Harris Welch, 94, of McAdoo were held at 11 a.m. Thursday July 3, 1997, in McAdoo Methodist Church with the Rev. Wendell Horn of the Floydada First United Methodist church, officiating.
Burial followed in the McAdoo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mrs. Welch died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at the Crosbyton Care Center.
She was born May 21, 1903 in Jones County. She married Preston Cypert in 1921, and he preceded her in death. She married Marvin Welch on Aug. 2, 1973. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1987. She moved to Merkel in 1973 from Abilene, and was a former resident of McAdoo. She moved to Crosbyton in 1991. She was a member of Merkel Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker. A son, Leymore Cypert, died Dec. 26, 1991.
Survivors include a son, Bill of Plainview; a sister, Hazel Morgan of Houston; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
