Marcus D. Wallace, County Man, Dies

Services were held Jan. 17, at the Baptist Church at McAdoo for Marcus Dee Wallace, 30 year resident of Dickens County.

Wallace was born Jan. 9, 1879 and died Jan. 15, 1955, at 8:15 a.m. after a long illness.

He was married to Jessie Belle Brady in 1901 at Aquillo, Texas.

Pallbearers were Henry Harris, Charles Harris, D.E. Allen, John A. Allen, Johnny Wooley, J. Rugsby, Honorary pallbearers were G. B. Morris, E. H. Tooke, Willie Phifer, Lawson McWilliams, Emit Phifer and H. S. Armstrong.

He is survived by his widow, his sons and three daughters, H. T. of Pixley, CA, C. T. of McAdoo, R. O. of San Diego, CA, H. D. of Pixley, CA, W. A. of Dallas, and F. B. of Los Angeles, CA; Mrs. May Pearl Blum of New York City, Mrs. Kathryn Fedock of New York City and Miss Jane ell Wallace of Brooklyn, NY.

Also eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one sister.
