Jim StephensonServices for Jim Stephenson, 78, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today in W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Wolfe officiating.

Burial will be in McAdoo Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

Stephenson died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1996, in Methodist Hospital.

He was born Jan. 18, 1918, in McAdoo.

He farmed until 1960, and he worked for the Lubbock Parks and Rereation Department for several years. He returned to farming for a few years, and he returned to work for the city until retiring in 1983.

Survivors include four sons, Jenk of Newhall, Calif., Tom of Ponca City, Okla., Henry of New Richmond, Wis., and David of Allen; two daughters, Linda Litton of Longview and Carolyn Stephenson of Lubbock; two sister, Lucille Stanley and Robena Watts, both of Lubbock; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Maurice Stanley, Ray Stanley, Jerry Tooke, Jack Wilhite, Jerry Stephenson and Rex Parks.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 3411 73rs St., Lubbock 79423 or to the American Diabetes Association, 8808 Slide Road, Lubbock, 79424.
