Dale Neff Services for Loyd Dale Neff, 79, of McAdoo, will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the McAdoo First Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce Cotton and Rev. Robby Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the McAdoo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Dale passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Covenant Hospital in Plainview. He was born June 30, 1930 in McAdoo to Roy Lee and Mary Ann (Burks) Neff.

Dale was a graduate of McAdoo High School and on July 30, 1948 he married Doris Lumsden in McAdoo. He was a member of the McAdoo First Baptist and the Masonic Lodge. Dale was a Democrat and a longtime supporter of the Crosbyton Little League Baseball program. A lifelong resident of McAdoo, he retired from farming in 1986 and then became a truck driver.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Archie Neff and Noble Neff and four sisters, Rena Lambert, Wilma Nell Mulvihill, Lena Stock and Joyce Davis.

Survivors include his wife Doris of McAdoo; two sons, Wendell Neff and wife Jenny of Spearman and Dr. Jimmy Neff and wife Sherri of Plainview; two daughters, Sharon Gordon and husband Alec of Plainview and Dr. Gayla Neff Hall of Lubbock; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Serving as casket bearers will be Kris Gordon, Clay Neff, Jerod Neff, Clif Hall, Brad Hall, Noe Melendez, Shawn Alexander and Josh Butler.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday, April 2, 2010 at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the McAdoo First Baptist Church.
