Final rites were read at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in McAdoo High School auditorium for Rush McLaughlin, 79, longtime resident of McAdoo.

H. L. Dennis, McAdoo Church of Christ minister officiated. Burial was in McAdoo Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home, Lubbock.

McLaughlin died at 2 p.m. Saturday following a long illness in his home in Lubbock. He had lived in Lubbock for seven years moving there after 50 years residence in McAdoo. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include the wife; one daughter, Mrs. Faye Bridges, Wichita Falls; four sons, C. A. McLaughlin, Fort worth; Jack McLaughlin, Midland, Joe McLaughlin, Lubbock, and A. F. McLaughlin, McAdoo; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Dowdy, Crosbyton; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Rose Frances McLaughlin of Mesquite was claimed by death at 2:25 p.m. Saturday in Christian Care Center in Dallas.

Funeral services for the 92 year old Mrs. McLaughlin were at 2:30 p.m. Monday in McAdoo Church of Christ. Officiating was Loyd Hall, minister of the Church of Christ in Crosbyton.

Interment was made in McAdoo Cemetery.

A Jones County native, Mrs. McLaughlin resided in McAdoo from 1924 until 1974, when she moved to Mesquite. She was a former member of the McAdoo Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Faye Bridges of Wichita Falls; three sons, Clyde of Mesquite, Jack of Dallas and France of Quinlan; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Locklar of Midland and Mrs. Reva Adams of Georgetown; a brother, Dick Montgomery of Midland; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
