Milton Hickmn Services for Howard Milton Hickman, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003 at McAdoo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Les Griffin officiating and the Rev. Robby Harris assisting. Burial will be in McAdoo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Born Oct. 30, 1916, as the first son of Lloyd and Verna Mary Hickman, Howard Hickman, 86, passed on at the Veterans Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas, on April 17, 2003. He was a veteran of WWII where he served in Italy and the Middle East and made a complete trip around the world before he was honorably discharged three years later. After the war, he met and married Billie Louise Paty in 1949. They settled down and became farmers in partnership with his brother, Guinn, until 1976 when Howard retired. He lived in Crosbyton for 15 years. His favorite pastimes were tinkering and repairing anything that needed fixing, fishing and playing the harmonica. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in McAdoo and later the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, where he attended the Downtown Bible Class.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Johnny Hickman of San Angelo; two daughters, Linda Whitaker and Janet Fuentes, both of Lubbock; and 11 grandchildren.

Billie McCormickServices for Billie Louise Hickman McCormick, 77, of Ransom Canyon, formerly of McAdoo and Crosbyton will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at McAdoo First Baptist Church with Rev. Monty Hilliard officiating. Burial will follow in the McAdoo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. McCormick passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Bee Hive Homes Assisted Living in Lubbock. She was born August 3, 1932 in Sanger, Texas to the late Scot and Dovie Lee (Adams) Paty.

She married Howard Milton Hickman April 28, 1949 in Paducah. He preceded her in death April 17, 2003. She then married Charley "Mac" McCormick in October of 2006 in Ransom Canyon, Texas. He preceded her in death in April of 2009. She was a member of Quaker Avenue Baptist Church in Lubbock and a former member of the McAdoo First Baptist Church. A Licensed Vocational Nurse, Billie was a wonderful cook, loved her flower gardens, and was so generous in sharing the beautiful quilts she made. Her family was very important to her and she loved them dearly. She moved to Lubbock in 2004 from Crosbyton.

Billie is survived by a son, Johnny Hickman of San Angelo, two daughters, Linda Whitaker of Ransom Canyon, and Janet Fuentes of Lubbock, a brother, Basil Paty, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
