Biography

Bryan and Pearl were married in Hill County, Texas on April 18, 1916. They lived in Blum, Texas until after the birth of their two oldest children. They moved to McAdoo in September 1922. Bryan had come on ahead and built a house on part of the land his father, William Gipson Hardin had purchased several years earlier. Four other children were born after the move to McAdoo.

Bryan Cecil Hardin, Jr. was born February 5, 1917 and married Rita Mae Phifer on February 10, 1946. They have three children: Lyndon Dale Hardin, Reta Gail Hardin, and Randell Earl Hardin.

Garland Eugene Hardin was born September 10, 1923 and married Winnell Ratheal on July 26, 1943. They have two sons, Ronald Eugene and Charles Ray Hardin.

William Dewight Hardin was born November 15, 1927 and married Roberta Garrett on November 28, 1954. They have one daughter Rosemary.

Thomas Wayne Hardin was born July 30, 1929 and married Doris Ann Chambliss, July 22, 1948. They have three children, Sue Ann, Andy Dwayne, and Thomas Wayne Hardin, Jr.

Bryan C. Hardin had to break the land before it could be farmed. All was pasture land and across his land was a road used many years before as the ruts were deep and the road still visible after all those years. Perhaps used by the Texas Rangers on their way to their outpost camp in Blanco Canyons.

Bryan Cecil, Jr. lives in Portales, NM. Geneva Doris lives in McAdoo and operates her own beauty shop there. Garland Eugene farms at McAdoo. William Dewight farms at Floydada. Thomas Wayne lives at Cuero, Texas. Robert Glen lives at Crosbyton, Texas.
