U.S.Flag     Graveside services with military honors for Coy Semmion French, 85, of Springtown will be at 3:00 PM, Monday, May 5, 2008 in the McAdoo Cemetery with Terry Ellison officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Coy passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Weatherford Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 27, 1922 in Bailey County to George Dewey and Eunice (Cox) French. In April of 1961 he married Margie Dell Canaday in Emory. She preceded him in death in June of 2007.

Coy was a veteran of WWII where he participated in the Battle of the Bulge and received a purple heart and a silver star. He was past commander of VFW post 8911. He was a great father and loved children. His best friend was his dog Shane. Coy was an avid fisherman. He moved to Springtown in 1996 from Palo Pinto County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister Wanda Ray who died in 2004.

Survivors include; his children; Ronald French of Haslet, Trena Dawson of Haslet, a brother Carroll French of Lubbock, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
