Obituary

Orville Glen Fox, 33, a former McAdoo resident, died in a head-on collision about 5:30 a.m. Friday near Rockport, CO.

Services for Fox, a resident of Cheyenne, WY at the time of his death, are pending with King Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

Fox was born in McAdoo and graduated from Patton Springs High School in Afton in 1954.

He had worked for the National Cash Register Co., in Lubbock, Odessa and Midland, and since November of 1968 had been a branch manager for the firm in Cheyenne, WY. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Midland.

Survivors include his wife, Rita, of Cheyenne, WY; a son, Barry of the home; two brothers, Mike Fox of McAdoo and S. Sgt. Kenneth Fox, stationed at Ellington Air Force Base in Houston; a sister, Sharon Fox of McAdoo; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Fox of McAdoo; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ward of Dickens; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lula Fox of McAdoo.

Funeral services for Rita Wilkinson Fox, 43, of Arlington were held at 2 p.m., Saturday in the McAdoo United Methodist Church with the Rev. Philip Lopes, pastor, and the Rev. Waid Griffin of the First United Methodist Church in Lubbock, officiating.

Burial was in the McAdoo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Fox a native of Motley County, was found dead Thursday in her Arlington residence of an apparent heart attack.

The ten year resident of Arlington attended Whiteflat Elementary School, graduated from Matador High School and attended Texas Tech University. She married Orville Fox, July 15, 1956, in Spearman. Mr. Fox was killed in a car accident in 1969.

Survivors include a son, Barry Glen of Arlington, a brother, Levi Wilkinson of Matador, two sisters, Gwendolyn Randel of Arlington and Corine Schmidt of Hamlin.
