Willie Eldredge was born September 29, 1887 in Keechi (Leon County) Texas. Lillie Mae Elsby was born April 11, 1895 in Dallas County, Texas. They were married November 6, 1912 in Dickens County, Texas. They farmed 1 1/2 miles west and north of present townsite of McAdoo. They were the parents of one daughter, Frances Louise, born March 11, 1914. She married F.M. Lawson (who was Superintendent of McAdoo school in 1930-31). Frances had one daughter JoAnn born February 23, 1935. Frances died March 9, 1935 in Plainview - just two weeks after the birth of her daughter. Mae passed away August 13, 1975. Willie lived until the next May 16, 1976. Mae was a student in the first school picture dated August 9, 1909. Will drove the school bus for many years.
CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Mrs. Mae Eldredge, 80, of McAdoo will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the McAdoo Church of Christ with the Rev. Luther Baker, pastor of the McAdoo Methodist Church and Loyd Hall, minister of the Crosbyton Church of Christ, officiating.Burial will be in McAdoo Cemetery under the direction of King Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mrs. Eldredge died at about 2 a.m. Wednesday at the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Eldredge was a native of Dallas County. She moved to McAdoo in 1901. She married Willie Eldredge Nov. 6, 1912, in Dickens. Mrs. Eldredge was a member of the McAdoo Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Mrs. John Formby and Mrs. Earl Buckner, both of McAdoo; one grandchild; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clint Formby, Rex Buckner, Maborn Eldredge, Joe Smith, Buster McDuff and Cherry Eldredge.

Survivors include a brother, B.F. of McAdoo and three grandchildren.
